You will have your Chinese lessons in our modern, well-equipped school building, right in the center of Shanghai, in the fashionable shopping district. Close by are western brand stores, cosmopolitan restaurants and coffee shops.

The school has 12 classrooms, a computer lab, wireless Internet access, a relaxation lounge and a garden. Our friendly teachers are all university-educated and experienced in teaching Chinese to foreigners.

The most popular course at our school is the Intensive Course of 20 Chinese lessons each week. You could complement this Intensive Course with private lessons, on either our Combined Course or the Super-Combined Course. In private lessons, you’ll receive the undivided attention of your tutors, helping you learn Chinese even more quickly!

We offer all three of the above courses at every level of learning. Our school places great importance on placing you in a group of students with the same level of Chinese as yourself. The average class size on our Chinese courses is just five, which means that our teachers can spend more time on improving your Chinese!

There is also a range of specialist Chinese courses, combining Chinese lessons with other subjects. Explore the Chinese way of life further with our Chinese and Culture Course. Take our Chinese Character Course to read and write Chinese with confidence. Or choose our Chinese and Business Course if you’d like to develop a business-related vocabulary.

Cultural program in Shanghai, China

Learn Chinese in Shanghai, and our school will organize activities designed to improve your language skills and introduce you to Shanghai and China! You can take part in at least four activities and one weekend excursion a week.

Discover Old Shanghai with a trip to the Yuyuan Garden and the Temple of the City God, and then see the modern face of Shanghai with a visit to Pudong, where distinctive skyscrapers create a spectacular skyline.

You could also enjoy tours of the bohemian Taikang Road, Tongchuan Road Seafood Market and the French concession, the area where our school is based. Or get a taste of Chinese culture with workshops in Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Chinese calligraphy and Chinese history and culture.

Weekend excursions include trips to picturesque ‘water villages’ just outside Shanghai, and Suzhou, a city of stunning natural beauty and magnificent examples of traditional Chinese architecture. In your free time, you could even visit China’s epic capital city, Beijing, where we have another Chinese language school.
