Look out for a dish called la bandera (the flag) which consists of white rice, beans, meat and green plantain fritters. Santo Domingo also has its own version of paella, called locrio, plus Dominican rum and some of the best coffee in the world! Every night, our students at our school in Santo Domingo get together for informal activities such as meeting at a bar, a walking tour or a flamenco dance show. There is a small extra charge for entrance fees and transport. Our school also offers optional weekend excursions such as night tours, a jeep safari and a trip to Cri-Cri Lagoon.

Most of our school’s shared apartments are located in the historic center, just a short walk from our school. A shared apartment is a great choice if you want to share with other students from our school.
You can choose from a 1star or 3 star room. The rooms in the 3 star hotels have air-conditioning, private bathroom and TV.
