If you learn Spanish in Peru, you will see some amazing sights as you pick up the language! Peru is a land of outstanding natural beauty and history, whose friendly people can help you practice your Spanish.
Our school is in Cusco, the birthplace of the Inca Empire, where Inca ruins can still be seen today. In many cases, Spanish colonial buildings were made using Inca materials, giving Cusco’s architecture a unique appeal.
After lessons, visit the main square in Cusco, Plaza de Armas, where there are two fine examples of the Spanish colonial style, the Cathedral and the Church of La Compania. Then wander through the cobbled streets, to see local artists’ creations and craftsmen making their wares using traditional methods.
Whilst you learn Spanish in Peru, you simply must visit Machu Picchu. This magical Inca city was lost to the world for hundreds of years, before it was re-discovered early last century. Perched high in the Andes, Machu Picchu is a feat of ancient engineering. Our school in Cusco organizes full-day excursions to this amazing place.

You can also spend a day at Lake Titicaca, a giant of a lake, which was held sacred by numerous civilizations. Framed by icy Andean peaks, the lake’s beautiful blue waters are so deep that they are still surprising scientists with new species. Indigenous culture is still strong amongst the people who live around the lake, on its islands or even on the lake itself.
So when you’re studying Spanish in Peru, you will also learn about the culture of the country, both ancient and modern. Peruvian cookery lessons, Latin dance classes and nights out with teachers are all included in our Cusco school’s activities package.
If you want a closer look at the Peruvian people and their traditions, our school offers you the chance to combine Spanish studies with Volunteer Work. You could assist in ecological projects, help to care for Peruvian children, or get involved with another of the numerous volunteer opportunities organized by the school.
You can take most of our courses regardless of your level of Spanish. For our courses in Business Spanish and Spanish and Culture, though, you will need an intermediate level of Spanish. Our Peruvian teachers are all highly-qualified and experienced in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

The maximum class size at the school is just four, giving you lots of personal attention, so you will make rapid progress with your Spanish. However, if you’d like to learn even more quickly, private lessons are available.
Living with a Peruvian host family in Cusco, carefully chosen by the school, will also help you to learn Spanish quickly. You will be able to practice your Spanish with the locals. Or you might prefer to live in a student residence, and practice your language skills with your fellow students.
Whichever way you want to study, you’re sure to have great fun learning Spanish and discovering the unforgettable land of Peru.
