If you learn Spanish in Peru, you will see some amazing sights as you become familiar with the language! Peru is a land of outstanding natural beauty and history, whose friendly people can help you practice your Spanish.
We have 2 language schools in Peru. One of our schools is in Cusco, birthplace of the Inca Empire and gateway to the legendary city of Machu Picchu. Peru’s exciting capital, Lima, is home to our other Spanish language school in Peru. Lima offers beaches with great surf, mouthwatering menus and the electric atmosphere of a major capital city!
Whilst you’re visiting Peru, you simply must visit Machu Picchu! This magical Inca city was lost to the world for hundreds of years, before it was re-discovered early last century. Perched high in the Andes, Machu Picchu is a feat of ancient engineering. Both our Cusco school and our school in Lima organize excursions to this amazing place.
You can also spend a day at Lake Titicaca, the largest lake in South America, which was held sacred by numerous civilizations. Framed by icy Andean peaks, the lake’s beautiful blue waters are so deep that they are still surprising scientists with new species. Indigenous culture is still strong amongst the people who live around the lake, on its islands or even on the lake itself.

So when you learn Spanish in Peru, you will also learn about the culture of the country, both ancient and modern. Peruvian cookery lessons, museum trips and nights out with teachers are all included in activity programs at both schools.
Whether you choose Lima or Cusco for your Peruvian adventure, you’ll always find plenty to see and do! Lima is a city of culture, history, incredible cuisine and great nightlife. For surfers and windsurfers, Lima’s pacific beaches are paradise!
Cusco was once the heartland of the Inca people, so you’ll discover a captivating fusion of colonial and pre-colonial influences here. After your Spanish lessons, visit the main square in Cusco - Plaza de Armas, where there are two fine examples of the Spanish colonial style, the Cathedral and the Church of La Compania. Then wander through the cobbled streets, to see local artists’ creations and craftsmen making their wares using traditional methods.
If you want a closer look at the Peruvian people and their traditions, our schools both offer you the chance to combine Spanish studies with Volunteer Work. You could assist in ecological projects, help to care for Peruvian children, or get involved with another of the numerous volunteer opportunities organized by the schools.
