Stunning architecture, winding medieval streets and lush greenery, all drenched in sun – Lisbon provides a beautiful backdrop for our Portuguese language courses! If you decide to learn Portuguese in Lisbon, you’ll fall in love with this wonderful city.

In your spare time in Portugal’s capital, discover traditional shops and markets, soak up some culture at a theatre or museum, or party the night away! If you’d prefer a more leisurely pace of life, though, you could always while away some time at one of Lisbon’s cosmopolitan cafés, or relax on the golden sands of nearby beaches.

Portuguese lesson at our school

Central Lisbon is the location for our school, close to Saldanha Square and Parque Eduardo VIII, Lisbon’s largest park. After your Portuguese lessons, unwind in the park, or take a stroll down to the equally tranquil surroundings of the Botanical Gardens.

Our school is well-equipped, with 12 classrooms, a common room for students and an Internet café. No matter what course you decide upon, average class sizes of just eight students and our team of experienced, native teachers will ensure that you will learn Portuguese quickly!

Our Portuguese language programs

Lisbon

We offer Portuguese language courses at different levels, from beginner to advanced, and with courses running at various paces, we’re sure to have a course for you! For example, our Standard Course involves 15 Portuguese lessons a week, whereas our Intensive Course consists of 30 Portuguese lessons each week, ideal if you need to learn Portuguese even more quickly!

Study on our program of One-to-One Portuguese lessons for the undivided attention of your teacher, who can help you focus on areas of possible improvement. You could choose both private and group lessons on one of our Combined Courses, taking 15 group lessons and five or 10 private lessons each week.

If you’re not completely new to Portuguese, but have an elementary grasp of the language, you can supplement your Portuguese lessons with Portuguese cookery lessons. Our Portuguese Gastronomy Course gives you the chance to create some delicious Portuguese dishes!

Want to see more of Portugal? You could combine your studies in Lisbon with some time spent on Portugal’s sunny Algarve coast. On one of our multi-stay courses, you could, for example, learn Portuguese in Lisbon for three weeks, before moving onto our school in Faro for another three weeks.

Cultural program in Lisbon, Portugal

A program of activities and excursions, run by our Lisbon school, will help you get to know Portugal, the Portuguese culture and other students at the school. Guided tours of local places of interest, Portuguese film evenings and dinners with your tutors, will also give you plenty of opportunity to use your Portuguese!

The weekends will bring you the chance to explore the area outside Lisbon, on trips organized by the school. Witness the architectural splendors of Evora, which dates back to Roman times, see Sintra’s palaces and parks, and visit the picturesque walled city of Obidos. The town and cities around Lisbon all reveal something about the history of the captivating land of Portugal.
