Beijing is a city like no other! Sights such as the Forbidden City bear testament to the glory of ancient dynasties, while glistening skyscrapers and vast shopping malls pronounce a promising future.

You’ll find so much to see and do as you learn Chinese in Beijing! China’s capital is home to innumerable historical treasures, including the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.

Enjoy the calm of a Buddhist temple, or wander through the 'hutongs' (alleys) of Old Beijing for a glimpse of the traditional Chinese way of life.

The Standard Chinese Course in Beijing Option Two consists of 20 Chinese lessons per week, affording you lots of free time to enjoy Beijing! Or choose the Standard Combined course, adding five Private Lessons each week to the 20 group lessons of the Standard Course. In these Private Lessons you can direct the Chinese tuition to cover areas that you are especially interested in.

For additional individual time with tutors, the Intensive Chinese course is made up of 10 Private Lessons and 20 group lessons per week. Or if you only want one-to-one tuition, without any group classes, opt for a program of Private Lessons!

A great way to see more of China is to take a multi-stay course. This allows you to divide your time in China between our Beijing Option Two school, and our school in Shanghai. You could, for example, learn Chinese in Beijing for a month, and then continue the course for another month at our Shanghai school. Experience exciting, cosmopolitan Shanghai as well as the historic capital!

Activities such as tai chi and kung fu classes, culture and history workshops, Chinese calligraphy workshops and Chinese cinema evenings all help you to understand the culture of this wonderful country. Trips to unforgettable places like the Forbidden City, Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China are also included.

A friendly Beijing family will quickly make you feel at home, providing you with breakfast and dinner each day. Our school takes great care to select only the best homestay accommodation, with the most welcoming families.  

Or get to know and socialize with your fellow students in a shared apartment. Our Option Two Beijing school can also organize accommodation in private studio apartments. This is ideal if you’d prefer a little more privacy and comfort as you learn Chinese in Beijing. Both shared and private apartments have fully equipped kitchens, washing machines, TVs, air-conditioning, free broadband Internet access and free local phone calls.
