Of course, being located in the Spanish region of Catalunya, you will find road names and some official signs written in Catalan rather than ‘Castellano’ (Standard Spanish), but everyone in Barcelona speaks Spanish, with only a proportion of the population speaking Catalan as a second language. So, don’t be concerned by this. Barcelona is a fantastic location for a Spanish language program. If you have any concerns or questions, please do contact us.

We travel to Barcelona whenever we can, visiting our school and taking the chance to simply enjoy that lifestyle, taste the food, get immersed once again in the enticing way of life which just makes it so difficult for anyone to leave this enchanting city. Our school, located in an historic building in the heart of Barcelona, offers high quality Spanish language courses all year round.

The school, situated only 5 minutes’ walk from Plaza Catalunya, and just around the corner from Gaudi’s famous Casa Batlló, is fully air conditioned, well-equipped and comfortably furnished, with free Wi-Fi access throughout.

Stay in our school’s on-site residence or on-site apartments for accommodation of an excellent standard, in an enviable location!

Relax at break time on the school’s sun terrace or patio, keep in touch with family and friends in the school Internet café and explore the city on the wide range of visits and activities organized by the school.

 Our Spanish language programs

The maximum group size at our school in Barcelona is just 10 students, with an average of 7 students per class.

All the teachers are native Spanish speakers, fully qualified and experienced in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. With such small class sizes, your expert teachers will be able to dedicate plenty of time to improving your Spanish!

Minimum age: 16

You could also enjoy a period of work experience at our Barcelona school, which is a great way to improve your Spanish!

 Accommodation in Barcelona

Student in on-site residence

On-site superior apartments

Live in a modern, well-equipped apartment right above our school, in the very centre of Barcelona! The apartment building has tempting roof-top sun terraces and free Wi-Fi Internet access throughout. Each apartment has 2 bathrooms, power showers, a fully fitted kitchen and a flat screen TV in the living room. Many apartments have balconies and bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are available upon request. You’ll share your apartment with up to 6 other students from our school. This option is perfect if you want a high standard apartment, where you can socialise and prepare your own meals!

On-site superior residence

Apartments in our school’s on-site residence offer the same excellent facilities as the superior apartments, including free Wi-Fi Internet access and fully equipped kitchens. The only difference is that if you stay in the residence while you learn Spanish in Barcelona, you’ll be provided with bed and breakfast, or 2 meals a day, if you prefer.

Student residence

Choose to live in our school’s standard residence for comfortable, reasonably-priced accommodation and 2 meals per day. You’ll share kitchen and bathroom facilities with fellow students from our school, or with Spaniards studying in Barcelona. Your apartment will be a maximum of 20 minutes away from Barcelona centre by public transport, so you can soon be enjoying all that this wonderful city has to offer!

Spanish host families

For total immersion in the Spanish language, it’s by far the best choice to stay in a Spanish host family. All the families are carefully inspected and vetted by our school.

Shared apartment

However, if you prefer, another popular choice is to stay in a shared self-catering apartment, especially if you wish to cook for yourself. You can have a single room, or share a room if you prefer. You will share the kitchen, living room and other facilities with other international students, or with young Spaniards.

Student residence

If you do not wish to stay with a Spanish host family, or in a shared apartment, you may like to stay in a student residence.
