Of course, being located in the Spanish region of Catalunya, you will find road names and some official signs written in Catalan rather than ‘Castellano’ (Standard Spanish), but everyone in Barcelona speaks Spanish, with only a proportion of the population speaking Catalan as a second language. So, don’t be concerned by this. Barcelona is a fantastic location for a Spanish language program. If you have any concerns or questions, please do contact us.

We travel to Barcelona whenever we can, visiting our school and taking the chance to simply enjoy that lifestyle, taste the food, get immersed once again in the enticing way of life which just makes it so difficult for anyone to leave this enchanting city. Our school, located in an historic building in the heart of Barcelona, offers high quality Spanish language courses in all year.

The school, situated just 5 minutes’ walk from Plaza Catalunya, and just around the corner from Gaudi’s famous Casa Batlló fully air-conditioned, well-equipped and comfortably furnished.

Relax at break time in the school’s private garden, keep in touch with family and friends in the school Internet café and explore the city on the wide range of visits and activities organized by the school.

The maximum group size at our school in Barcelona is just 10 students, with an average of 7 students per class.

All the teachers are native Spanish speakers, fully qualified and experienced in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.

Spanish host families

For total immersion in the Spanish language, it’s by far the best choice to stay in a Spanish host family. All the families are carefully inspected and vetted by our school.

Shared Apartment

However, if you prefer, another popular choice is to stay in a shared self-catering apartment, especially if you wish to cook for yourself. You can have a single room, or share a room if you prefer. You will share the kitchen living room and other facilities with other international students, or with young Spaniards.

Student Residence

If you do not wish to stay with a Spanish host family, or in a shared apartment, you may like to stay in a student residence.
