If you’re looking to take a Spanish immersion program in Guatemala, then look no further than historic Antigua! Much of the city centre of Antigua has UNESCO World Heritage Site status, making it a great city for walking! Antigua is one of the best preserved conserved colonial cities in the world, and it is also one of the most beautiful – you can see Antigua’s volcanic mountains from most streets in the city!

Antigua is well developed with excellent restaurants, bars and cafes, yet it is still not overrun and retains a traditional, friendly and very Guatemalan atmosphere. Guatemalans love to celebrate, and Antigua is host to many small-scale festivals throughout the year. If you take your Spanish immersion program during the Easter period, you will witness the biggest and best Semana Santa festival in the western hemisphere!

Our school in Guatemala is situated in a traditional colonial building, which is in an excellent location in the very heart of the city, just a short walk from the central square.

The building has its own lovely patio and garden where students can meet up and practice speaking Spanish after class.

Learning Spanish can be colorful!

On our study abroad program in Guatemala you will always receive one-to-one tuition! This program of private lessons is the very best way to make a large amount of progress in the language and have a Spanish immersion program tailored to suit you individual needs.

All of our teachers are native speakers with specialist qualifications and experience in teaching Spanish to speakers of other languages.

In addition we are pleased to offer the opportunity to take on volunteer work at the same time as your Spanish course. We are also pleased to arrange your transfer from Guatemala Aurora city airport to Antigua. Please contact us for further details.

Cultural Program

You’ll find plenty to do on a Spanish immersion program in Guatemala! Included in your course fees are guided walks, dance classes, international evenings and sports activities. Our school also offers optional activities for a small additional charge. These activities include bicycle tours, horse riding, tour of Casa Popeno (colonial house), volcano tours, farm tours and coffee plantation tours.
